摘要:
 文学伦理批评主要从伦理的角度出发，目的是还原文学的本来面目，能更加深刻地审视伦理道德的重要作用。《了不起的盖茨比》是菲茨杰拉德的代表作，小说以主人公盖茨比的死亡而告终。彼时的美国正处于历史交叉路口，资本主义蓬勃发展，享乐主义大行其道，财富成了评判一个人的唯一标准，这种伦理环境对盖茨比的伦理选择有着至关重要的影响；盖茨比的悲剧结局离不开其做出的伦理选择，这些选择决定了盖茨比人生的走向，也导致了他的死亡，其伦理选择的背后有着令人值得思考的伦理意义与价值。
Abstract:
 Literary ethical criticism mainly starts from an ethical point of view, with the purpose of restoring the true nature of literature, allowing us to examine the important role of ethics and morality more deeply. The Great Gatsby is Fitzgerald’s masterpiece, and the novel ends with the death of the protagonist Gatsby. At that time, the United States was at a crossroads in history, capitalism was booming, hedonism was prevalent, and wealth became the only criterion for judging a person. This ethical environment is crucial to Gatsby’s ethical choice and Gatsby’s tragic ending is inseparable from every ethical choice he made. These choices determine the course of Gatsby’s life and also lead to his death, behind which lies the thought-provoking meaning and value.
