摘要:
 为揭示非英语专业学生视译过程中学生的认知负荷、翻译策略的选择及存在的问题,利用眼动追踪技术结合测后访谈法对高校非英语专业大学生视译The Economist节选文章的眼动过程进行分析研究。实验结果显示:视译过程中认知负荷具有高度的词法与句法依赖性。词法方面包括与理解语料主旨大意相关的词、与西方社会文化背景相关的词、抽象词汇、涉及到隐喻用法的词、容易造成混淆的时间词和数词;句法方面主要是某些用法复杂的连词引导的从句。结论:眼动追踪技术与视译过程的融合,能够优选视译过程呈现方式。
Abstract:
 Aimed at analyzing the cognitive load, cognitive effort and difficulty involved, attention, the choice of translation strategies and existing problems in the sight translation processes of non-English major students, this article explores non-English major students’sight translation processes of a paragraph from The Economist by means of eye-tracking techniques and post-test interview. Experimental results show that cognitive load is highly dependent on lexicon and syntax in the sight translation processes. In terms of lexicon, it includes words related to the general meaning of the passage, words related to the western social and cultural background, abstract words, words related to metaphor usage, temporal words and numerals that may cause confusion; in terms of syntax, it mainly refers to some adverbial clauses introduced by conjunctions with complex usage. This article draws a conclusion that the integration of the sight translation processes and eye-tracking techniques could optimize the presentation of the sight translation processes.
